M&C Joinery – Bespoke Joinery & Wood Products Ireland

Good News Round The Corner

We are delighted to hear of the recent development of a new vaccine created by Pfizer and BioNTech to fight against the Coronavirus as well as the great efforts made by all to get us through this trying time. Great news indeed. It is with equal delight that we can see a serious drop in new cases from last month as we once again went into lock down in October. Hopefully we will witness a further drop in new Covid 19 cases and see a lifting of the present restrictions in December. Well done to you all from us here in M & C Joinery. While it’s great to see some light at the end of the tunnel, we still must be vigilant as we know the situation is still very serious. We recently installed safety screens in St. Vincent’s Hospital and have seen first hand the great work that is being done to combat this awful Pandemic. Once again – well done to everyone. We’ll get through this together – apart. Stay safe! Wash your hands and wear your mask.

Windows of Distinction for a Georgian Dublin Renovation

For a large renovation of a beautiful Georgian office building in Merrion Square Dublin, M & C Joinery recreated the beautiful Bowed (curved) windows that were first installed over 200 years ago. Every detail must be exact – right down to the “lambs tongue” moulding – matching the original. There are 3 of these beautiful curved windows and the each stand at 3.5 metres tall, all in hardwood – single glazed with A rated seals. M & C Joinery does it again.

Opening Up Schools and back to Lock Down

Opening Up Schools - m and c joinery_1

In light of the recent Government directive of the new Covid 19 lock down in the three counties of Kildare, Laois and Offaly – as we pay the consequences for the actions of the careless few, who have placed us all in quarantine again for at least the next fortnight – we at M & C Joinery are now more committed than ever to help stop the spread of the Corona virus and enable schools and business to open, stay open and overcome the pressures and restrictions placed on them in the unprecedented times of Covid 19. Opening up schools and the safety and education of our children is a national priority.

Surviving the Lock Down

It has really taken us by surprise – such has been the demand for our bespoke Covid-19 Screens and Sanitizer Stations that The Sunday Business Post chose to include us in a piece on business diversity during the Covid -19 Lock Down. The success of any business depends on it’s ability to adapt in the face of adversity and with the onset of the Corona Virus lock down we needed to direct our skills to keeping ourselves and other businesses open. The transition from making bespoke stairs, windows and doors to producing Covid-19 safety screens and hand sanitising stations was pretty swift as we knew that in order for any normality to remain during the Lock Down, it would be by keeping local and country-wide businesses open and safe in their dealings with the public.

A Thank You from M & C Joinery

The lock down that has been part and parcel of everyday life since the first cases of Coronavirus here in Ireland, has not been in vain as we can now see some light at the end of the tunnel as the number of new cases is now decreasing and the amount of recoveries has increased. We are shocked and saddened by the number of deaths and extend our deepest sympathies to all who have lost loved one to the Covid-19 virus. 2020 hasn’t been an easy year for anyone – for those who were laid off from work and for businesses who had to close their doors to ensure the safety of their staff and customers. Schools and students have also made huge sacrifices. Keeping Businesses Open During this Covid-19 pandemic we have been carrying out essential services for both the HSE and Kildare County Council. We are also supplying and fitting screens to businesses that require them to keep their doors open whilst ensuring the protection of everyone involved from the Coronavirus. We have most recently fitted a local hospital shop and café with Covid-19 protection screens.

Protective Screens

M & C Joinery offer a wide range of fitted transparent protective screens made of clear acrylic sheeting at competitive prices.  These screens act as protective shielding between cashiers and customers.  Covid-19 and many other viruses are spread through droplets in the air from coughing and sneezing and you can halt the spread of Corona virus in your business with a protective screen. Many supermarkets and large stores have implemented measures such as queuing management and adjusted opening hours, to allow customers to buy essentials while also meeting the social distancing requirements as laid out by the Government at the outset of the Corona Virus safety measures.  However, for small and independent businesses and those with minimal floor space, many of these changes are not as easy to implement.  In these cases, a simple method of minimising personal contact, is to install M & C Joinery Protective Screens at checkout/payment points which will shield and act as a barrier against unnecessary contact and possible Covid-19 airborne particles. We have all been advised by the HSE that Protective Screens will be made compulsory in Ireland in the future.  All businesses and people will need to adjust their ways as to how they safely operate on a daily basis in the face of the current Corona Virus pandemic. Protect your most valuable assets…. your staff and customers, against airborne viruses, such as Covid-19, with a protective screen from M & C Joinery Ltd.
